Sample reports

Read seven in full. Then decide.

Nothing here is a teaser. Each sample is a complete report in the format you would receive – the same rubric, the same way a finding is written and cited, and the same plan at the end. The rubric has grown since these were written, so your own report works through more sections than a sample does. The six company reports are on businesses you already have an opinion about, so you can judge the analysis against what you already know. The founder report is on an invented person, for a reason given where it sits.

These are illustrative demonstrations of the report format. The company reports are not real assessments of the companies named, the measurements in them are synthetic, and they are not affiliated with or endorsed by any subject. The founder report is about a person who does not exist. Your own report analyses your own public record.

02Founder X-Ray

One founder, at the scale most founders are on.

A founder report is short, personal and uncomfortable in a way a company report is not. The subject is invented, and scores 47 – the band most founders are actually in, where the gaps are the ones a reader recognises rather than the ones only a household name has.

03How to read one

Three things to look at first.

01

The weakest dimension

The headline number is the mean, so it hides the shape. The dimension twenty points below the others is the one paying for everything else.

02

The AI visibility section

Five models, five verbatim answers - four answering from memory and one that searched the web first. This is the section most readers screenshot, because it is usually the first time they have seen it.

03

Days 1–14 of the plan

Every recommendation in that window is meant to be startable the same afternoon. If it needs a budget or a hire, it is not in the first window.

Now read one about yourself.

Seven reports about other people are interesting. The one about you is the one that changes what you do on Monday.
